Cuba’s FM: US Practices Violate International Law, Threaten Sovereignty

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla said new practices by the United States constitute violations of international law and pose a threat to national sovereignty and global order. He made the remarks during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
Rodríguez accused Washington of engaging in what he described as acts of “theft, interference, violation of international law, and disregard” for the United Nations. He added that US policies undermine the principles of multilateralism and threaten international and regional sovereignty worldwide.
The Cuban foreign minister stressed that Cuba will continue to defend its independence and sovereignty while remaining open to respectful dialogue on equal terms with any country. He also reaffirmed Havana’s commitment to fulfilling its agreements with Russia, despite existing challenges.
