The Conference of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, on Sunday in Addis Ababa, commended Algeria’s leadership role in continental integration, extending congratulations to Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the successful hosting of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025) last September.
African leaders, speaking on the final day of the 39th African Union Summit, highlighted Algeria’s pioneering role through the implementation of major projects connecting AU member states, including the Trans-Saharan Highway, the Trans-Saharan Fiber Optic Backbone, and Trans-Saharan railway projects, in full alignment with the goals of Agenda 2063.
Algeria hosted the Intra-African Trade Fair from 4 to 10 September 2025, under the theme “Gateway to New African Opportunities.” The event provided a key platform to capitalize on opportunities within Africa’s unified Continental Free Trade Area market, aimed at boosting trade and investment across the continent.
