Algeria-Mauritania: First Session of Joint Parliamentary Commission to Be Held in Algiers

The first session of the Algerian-Mauritanian Joint Parliamentary Commission will be held on Friday and Saturday at the headquarters of Algeria’s National People’s Assembly (APN) in Algiers under the theme “Economic and parliamentary strengthening of bilateral cooperation.”

The session will be jointly chaired by APN Speaker Ibrahim Boughali and his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Bamba Mekt, in the presence of government members, economic officials and representatives of relevant institutions, the APN said in a statement.

The commission’s work will take place over four sessions and will focus on developing bilateral trade, exchanging parliamentary expertise and coordinating positions on regional and international issues of common interest, it added.
