Iran, US to Hold Indirect Nuclear Talks in Oman on Friday

Indirect talks between Iran and the United States are set to take place on Friday in Oman’s capital, Muscat, with discussions expected to focus on Tehran’s nuclear program and the lifting of sanctions, Iranian media reported on Wednesday.
Tasnim News Agency said the negotiations will be conducted indirectly, with Oman acting as host and intermediary between the two sides. According to the report, the agenda will be limited strictly to Iran’s nuclear file and sanctions imposed on the country.
Tasnim added that Iran will be represented in the talks by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, while the United States delegation will be led by special envoy Steve Witkoff, signaling a renewed but cautious diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
