Zionist Occupation Forces Blocks Patients From Traveling Through Rafah Crossing

The Zionist occupation blocked patients and wounded individuals from traveling through Rafah crossing in southern Gaza on Wednesday, after informing the World Health Organization (WHO) office that coordination for the third group scheduled to depart for medical treatment had been canceled, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
WAFA quoted Palestinian Red Crescent Society spokesperson Raed al-Nims as saying that the WHO office informed them of the cancellation despite all procedures being completed and patients prepared at Red Crescent Hospital in Khan Younis, a development that surprised both officials and patients alike.
“Since the crossing reopened on Monday, only 50 patients and injured individuals, including their companions, have departed. Seven patients with companions departed on the first day and 16 others with companions on the second day over 48 hours,” he added.
The same source said that this cancellation comes amid continued delays and obstacles imposed by the Zionist occupation on patients’ travel, despite the urgent need for medical treatment outside the Strip, underscoring that about 18,500 patients and injured individuals require treatment abroad.
