Algeria and Qatar Pledge to Strengthen and Diversify Economic and Bilateral Cooperation
Algerian Prime Minister, Sifi Ghrieb, held phone talks on Monday with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, during which they discussed the current state and prospects for developing bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, along with his sincere wishes for continued progress and prosperity to the Qatari people, according to a statement by the Algerian Prime Minister’s office.
Both sides praised the strength of the relations that bind the two countries and peoples, as well as the level attained by bilateral cooperation and the positive momentum it has witnessed across various fields, thanks to the wise guidance of the leaders of the two countries, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the statement said.
The two sides affirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to further develop and diversify bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic fields. They also underscored the importance of revitalizing bilateral cooperation mechanisms at all levels, with a view to strengthening bilateral relations, implementing and supporting joint investment projects, and intensifying consultation and coordination on issues of mutual interest, the source added.
The Qatari Prime Minister reaffirmed the strategic nature of bilateral relations in line with the vision set forth by the leaders of the two countries. He also conveyed the greetings of the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and expressed his sincere commitment to working together to further advance bilateral cooperation across all fields.
