Algerian President Receives Chinese Leader’s Congratulations on Alsat-3 Success

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a congratulatory message from the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, on the occasion of the successful launch of the satellite “Alsat-3”, the Algerian Presidency said in a statement on Sunday.
“It gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to the government and people of Algeria, on behalf of the Chinese government and the Chinese people, on the successful launch of the satellite ‘Alsat-3’,” the message read.
The Chinese President said the Alsat-3 satellite project represents a new successful chapter of cooperation between China and Algeria in the field of space, following the Alsat-1 project, and serves as an important embodiment of the comprehensive strategic relations between our two countries.
“The Chinese side is ready to work with Algeria to deepen cooperation in the field of space and to make joint efforts to advance science and technology, thereby promoting the economic and social development of both countries,” President Xi said.
He added that Algeria is an important strategic partner for China in West Asia and North Africa, and the two countries share a deep historical friendship. “In recent years, China-Algeria relations have made continuous progress under our joint leadership, with mutual political trust steadily strengthened and practical cooperation yielding fruitful results.”
“I attach great importance to the development of China-Algeria relations and I’m ready to work with you to continue enriching the substance of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Algeria, for the benefit of both peoples. I also welcome Your Excellency to attend the Second China-Arab States Summit in China. I wish Your Excellency good health and continued success,” the message concluded.
