Algeria-France : Moula, Ségolène Royal Discuss Ways to Foster Economic Ties

President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA) Kamel Moula, met today with Ségolène Royal, President of the France-Algeria Association (AFA) , to discuss expanding economic ties between the two countries. The meeting took place on the sidelines of Royal’s official visit to Algeria, according to a statement released by the Council on Wednesday.
Discussions primarily addressed current economic issues and the prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and enterprise development.
During the exchange, the AFA president reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to a “constructive approach” aimed at supporting economic initiatives and fostering a productive dialogue among all stakeholders. She underscored the importance of establishing “robust working frameworks that provide the stability, clarity, and sustainability” necessary for long-term economic projects.
For his part, Moula emphasized that Algeria’s national economic priorities require “concrete and immediate responses,” particularly regarding the empowerment of domestic enterprises.
He highlighted the urgent need to bolster production capacities to safeguard “food, health, and energy security,” noting that these objectives drive Algeria’s strategy to diversify international partnerships and supply chains.
The two parties concluded by agreeing to maintain a regular dialogue between CREA and the France-Algeria Association. Their objective is to create favorable conditions for investment and economic initiatives that serve both countries’ mutual interests.
