Over 100 Children Killed in Gaza Since Ceasefire, Says UNICEF

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced on Tuesday that over 100 children have been martyred in the Gaza Strip since the October ceasefire due to Zionist occupation’s violations of the agreement.

UNICEF spokesperson James Elder said in a UN video briefing from Gaza that over 100 children have been killed in Gaza since the ceasefire, averaging nearly one boy or girl killed every day during this period.

Regarding the ongoing Zionist bombardment of the Strip, he said “Survival remains conditional, whilst the bombings and the shootings have slowed, have reduced during the ceasefire, they have not stopped.” James Elder said that nearly all the deaths, 60 boys and 40 girls, resulted from Zionist attacks including airstrikes, drone strikes, tank shelling, and gunfire, with only a few caused by unexploded ordnance.

He added that the actual toll is likely higher, as the figure only reflects deaths for which adequate information was available.
