UNRWA: Aid to Gaza Remains Insufficient Despite Ceasefire

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, stated that three months after the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, there has been no sufficient improvement in meeting the needs of the population, stressing that humanitarian aid remains below the required level.

Lazzarini said, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) on Thursday, that despite the passage of three months since the ceasefire, humanitarian assistance is still inadequate to meet the needs of the affected population.

He emphasized that cold weather conditions are adding to the suffering of residents who have been exhausted by a devastating war that lasted two years, accompanied by destruction, killing, and forced displacement. Lazzarini reiterated that the current aid remains insufficient to cover basic needs.
