Morocco: Report Reveals Zionist Reach Extends in all Sectors Five Years Into Normalization

A recent report documented the widening scope of normalization between the Makhzen and the Zionist entity five years after the signing of the “shameful accords,” showing how it has evolved into a “structural” infiltration affecting strategic and sensitive sectors, sparking intense debate about threats to Morocco’s sovereignty.

According to the report, which covers 2020 to 2025 and was released by the global BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) campaign against the Zionist occupation and its supporters, economic relations between the two sides have experienced rapid growth even during the height of the Zionist aggression on Gaza, with the report also documenting a “striking” expansion in joint investments.

On the diplomatic front, the report noted that relations have evolved from liaison offices to full diplomatic representation, while also revealing an increased instrumentalization of Moroccan-Jewish memory in tourism, culture, and education.

Despite this “multi-layered” expansion, the document noted that normalization has remained “surrounded by intense criticism within Morocco, particularly following the war on Gaza, which triggered protests in multiple cities demanding an end to the ‘ill-fated’ agreements.” Even as Moroccan authorities have stayed the course on normalization, public opinion has increasingly accused the regime of “complicity” and “participating in the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people.”
