Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks on Saturday with the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, on the sidelines of his participation in the 2nd Africa-Russia Partnership Forum at the ministerial level.
The two ministers discussed the ties of friendship and cooperation between their countries, ahead of upcoming bilateral engagements aimed at building on the remarkable momentum in the Algerian-Russian relations, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
They also exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest, particularly recent developments in the Sahel-Sahara region, the statement said.
