World Cup 2026: Nearly 2 Million Tickets Sold Ahead of Third Sales Phase (FIFA)

Nearly two million tickets for the 2026 World Cup, to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, have been sold during the first two sales phases, FIFA announced Wednesday — a third phase will start 11 December.
Orders come from 212 countries and territories. Residents of the three host nations (USA, Canada and Mexico) were the most active during the initial sale phases. They led ahead of supporters from England, Germany, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Argentina and France, FIFA said.
“Congratulations to everyone who has already booked their seats. Those who haven’t yet will get a new opportunity starting Thursday, 11 December, just days after the Final Draw in Washington,” declared FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
“With 42 teams already qualified, we are seeing huge global interest,” added Heimo Schirgi, Chief Operating Officer for FIFA 2026, “Bientôt nous connaîtrons la composition de la grande majorité des affiches, les stades qui les accueilleront et les horaires auxquels elles seront disputées.”
The third phase (the Random Selection Draw) will open at 11:00 ET (17:00 CET) on 11 December on FIFA.com/tickets and close on 13 January. Fans can apply for tickets to individual matches based on the final groups and matchups drawn on 5 December.
