Representing the Algerian President, PM Ghrieb Participates in G20 Summit in South Africa
Algerian Prime Minister, Sifi Ghrieb, participated on Saturday, in the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The summit, to be held on November 22–23, takes place under the theme ‘Solidarity, Equality, and Sustainability.’
Chaired by the President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, the summit brings together, alongside the G20 member countries, several heads of state and government as well as officials from international and regional organizations.
Participants in this summit, held for the first time on the African continent, will discuss a range of issues related to the challenges facing the world today, particularly the priorities that the South African presidency has sought to place on the G20 agenda, which align with the concerns and aspirations of the African continent, the Prime Minister’s office said in a statement.
On Friday, the Prime Minister, representing the Algerian President, participated in a consultative meeting chaired by the President of the Republic of South Africa on the eve of the G20 Summit.
