Mansour: UN Adoption of Seven Pro-Palestine Resolutions, Clear Message to End Occupation

Permanent Observer of Palestine to the United Nations (UN), Riyad Mansour, said, on Wednesday evening, that the Fourth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption, by an overwhelming majority, of seven resolutions in favor of Palestine, is a clear international message to halt settlement and end the Zionist occupation, the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) said.
Mansour stressed that this vote “serves as an international message to implement UN resolutions, including Security Council Resolution 2334, and to take practical measures to stop settlement activity, end the occupation, protect the Palestinian people, their institutions and their holy sites, and continue to provide support for Palestinian refugees, including through UNRWA, and back their inalienable rights, including their right to self-determination and return,” according to the same source.
Following the adoption of these resolutions, the Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations expressed his gratitude to the states for their principled stance and their explicit rejection and condemnation of the policies of the Zionist occupation.
The Fourth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly (Committee on Special Political and Decolonization Issues) adopted four resolutions on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), and three resolutions on the Special Committee to Investigate Zionist Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People in the Occupied Territories.
