
ALGIERS, November 13, 2025 – The fourth edition of the African Startup Conference, to be hosted in Algiers from December 6 to 8, will bring together more than 200 exhibitors and investors from across the continent and beyond, and will attract around 25,000 visitors, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises Noureddine Ouadah announced on Thursday.
The minister explained during a press conference in the capital that this edition, organized under the patronage of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, translates the “shared ambition to build a strong, interconnected African ecosystem based on innovation.” He noted that the continental event will include a ministerial summit bringing together over 40 ministers, alongside officials and representatives of international organizations and tech investors from Africa and elsewhere, to exchange know-how and “shape ambitious policies and strengthen cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship”.
Ouadah added that the Republic of Rwanda will be the “guest of honor” of this edition, in recognition of the major progress the country has made in digital innovation, while emphasizing Algeria’s intention to deepen cooperation with various African nations in innovation and entrepreneurship.
The minister also welcomed the establishment of a start-up financing fund for young innovators in Africa by decision of the President of the Republic, aimed at enabling Algerian and African youth to contribute to the prosperity of the continental economy.
