
An armed terrorist surrendered to military authorities in In Guezzam, while eight supporters of terrorist groups were arrested by units of the National People’s Army (ANP) during operations carried out from 5 to 11 November 2025, according to a Wednesday operational report by the ANP.
“In the framework of sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, ANP units and detachments carried out several operations between 5 and 11 November 2025, achieving significant results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces across the national territory,” the report stated.
As part of the anti-terrorism efforts, terrorist T. Sid Ahmed, also known as Mohamed, surrendered to the military authorities in In Guezzam, 6th Military Region, in possession of a Simonov-type semi-automatic rifle, ammunition, and other materials.
In the same context, ANP detachments arrested eight individuals supporting terrorist groups during various operations across the country.
Regarding organized crime and efforts to combat drug trafficking, combined ANP units, in coordination with security services, intercepted 61 drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to smuggle 344 kilograms of treated cannabis (kif) from the Moroccan border, while also seizing 2 kilograms of cocaine and 412,013 psychotropic tablets.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Guezzam, and Illizi, ANP detachments arrested 664 individuals and seized 20 vehicles, 319 generators, 171 jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold, stones, and equipment used in illegal gold mining.
Additionally, 20 other individuals were apprehended, and authorities seized a machine gun, six hunting rifles, 71,645 liters of fuel, and 10 tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation, during separate operations.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted illegal migration attempts along the national coast, rescuing 165 people on makeshift boats, while 380 undocumented migrants of various nationalities were arrested across the country, the ANP operational report concluded.
