
ALGIERS, Nov 4, 2025 – The Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, met on Tuesday at the ministry’s headquarters with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Djeyhoun Baïramov, who is on an official visit to Algeria, according to a statement from the ministry.
The two ministers held a one-on-one meeting, followed by expanded discussions attended by members of both delegations.
Talks focused on the strong momentum in relations between Algeria and Azerbaijan, reflecting the attention given by Presidents Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Ilham Aliyev.
Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening political coordination and leveraging their economic potential to elevate cooperation to promising levels.
They also exchanged views on issues of common interest, including developments in the Palestinian question and the situation in their respective regions.
At the end of the talks, the two ministers signed a bilateral agreement establishing a joint commission for commercial, economic, scientific, and technical cooperation between the two countries.
