West Bank: 158 Attacks by Zionist Forces and Settlers Against Olive Harvesters in October

The head of the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Moayyad Shaaban, said Tuesday that the Zionist occupation forces and settlers have carried out a total of 158 attacks on Palestinian olive harvesters since the start of the olive-picking season on October 7.
In a press statement, Shaaban said that “field teams recorded 17 assaults by the occupying forces and 141 by settlers,” noting that the violations ranged from violent physical attacks and arrests to movement restrictions, denial of access, intimidation, and even direct gunfire, such as in the Tubas province.
The majority of incidents were reported in the Nablus governorate, with 56 assaults, followed by Ramallah with 51, and Hebron (Al-Khalil) with 15, according to Shaaban.
He added that the Zionist occupation “deliberately targets the olive harvest season due to the deep connection between Palestinians and their land,” describing the attacks as part of a policy aimed at “severing that bond and tightening control over Palestinian geography.”
