On the occasion, the British Under-Secretary handed Attaf a letter from his British counterpart, Yvette Cooper, the statement added.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss “various aspects of Algerian-British relations and ways to elevate them to higher levels, notably through strengthening strategic dialogue and consolidating the existing economic partnership between the two countries,” the statement said.
The two sides also reviewed “a series of current issues on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council,” it concluded.
