Algeria, Jordan Discuss Partnership to Boost Medical Equipment Production

The Algerian Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Ouacim Kouidri, met on Tuesday in Algiers with Omar Al-Baik, General Manager of the Jordanian company “KAIZMED,” which specializes in manufacturing medical consumables.
The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation and partnership in medical equipment production and sharing expertise, according to a statement from the ministry.
The meeting was held at the ministry’s headquarters, attended by a representative of the Jordanian Embassy in Algeria and representatives of “NEO HEALTH ALGERIA,” a company active in medical device manufacturing, the statement noted.
Both parties explored cooperation prospects in medical device production under the strong partnership ties between the two countries.
On this occasion, KAIZMED expressed willingness to transfer its expertise to Algeria by establishing a specialized plant to produce a wide range of medical devices, which are currently imported, to meet the domestic market’s needs, the statement concluded.
