Zelenskyy: Ukrainian Delegation to Visit Washington Early Next Week for Talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Thursday that a high-level Ukrainian delegation will travel to the United States “at the beginning of next week” to discuss key issues related to defense and diplomacy.

According to Zelenskyy’s statement posted on the social media platform X, the delegation will be led by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and include Presidential Office Head Andriy Yermak and Sanctions Policy Commissioner Vladyslav Vlasiuk. The talks are expected to cover air defense, energy, sanctions measures, the negotiation process, and the issue of frozen Russian assets.

Zelenskyy added that preparations are also underway to advance the work of the “Coalition of the Willing,” expressing his belief that U.S. President Donald Trump “wants Kyiv at the negotiating table.” He said, “I think he very much wants to see a ceasefire and an end to the war. I believe this was his goal from the very beginning, and we are grateful for that.” He further noted that their most recent meeting in New York during the 80th UN General Assembly helped give Trump “a broader understanding that the Russians are selling him something they are not capable of delivering,” emphasizing that dialogue between the two countries remains active and constructive.
