Eight Killed in Sudan Hospital Bombing

least eight people were killed and several others wounded in a bombing that hit a maternity ward in the city of El-Fasher, in Sudan’s war-torn Darfur region, a medical source said Wednesday.
The strike, which occurred Tuesday, also injured seven people at El-Fasher hospital and damaged buildings and equipment, the source added, blaming the attack on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The hospital is one of the few still operating in El-Fasher, where RSF forces have intensified artillery and drone attacks since August in a bid to seize control of the city.
RSF fighters have recently gained ground across several districts of El-Fasher.
Now entering its third year, Sudan’s conflict has killed tens of thousands, displaced millions, and triggered what the UN calls the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
