Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb attended Monday a presentation on the Madar Holding group, which carried out the oilseed crushing complex project producing vegetable oils and oilseed meal, while on a working visit to the province of Jijel, under the directive of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation listened to a presentation on Madar Holding and its various units. The group completed the oilseed crushing complex project within two years, relying on Algerian expertise that successfully rose to the challenge.
In his speech, Madar Holding CEO Charaf-Eddine Amara expressed gratitude to President Tebboune for his “constant support of the project and his confidence in the group to carry out and operate this industrial facility,” stressing that it represented “a heavy responsibility, but one the group is determined to live up to.” He described the complex as “one of the landmarks of the New Algeria,” a “practical step to strengthen food sovereignty and ensure strategic security,” as well as “proof of the ability of national skills to take on challenges.” Workers and executives at the facility “demonstrated that Algerians are capable of overcoming obstacles,” he added.
During the visit, Prime Minister Ghrieb is set to inaugurate and launch the operation of the oilseed crushing complex and inspect the construction of the second phase of the container terminal project at the port of Djen-Djen. He is accompanied by Interior, Local Authorities and Transport Minister Saïd Sayoud, and Industry Minister Yahia Bachir.
