European Parliament Resolution Urges Immediate Ceasefire and Aid Access in Gaza

The European Parliament has adopted a resolution on the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, expressing deep concern over the spread of famine and severe shortages of food, water, and medicine. The Parliament stressed that the worsening conditions have pushed Gaza to the brink of total collapse.
The resolution called on the Zionist entity to fully and safely open all border crossings to allow the unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid and to guarantee the protection of civilians, medical personnel, and relief workers. It further emphasized the urgent need for an immediate and lasting ceasefire to halt the ongoing suffering of the population.
The Parliament also underlined the importance of resuming funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which it described as a lifeline for millions of Palestinians. It affirmed that the European Union has a key role to play in confronting famine and advancing a political process towards a two-state solution, viewing it as the only viable path to resolving the Palestinian issue.
