ALGIERS – The Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025) saw on Monday the signing of multiple agreements between Algerian institutions and their African counterparts, with contracts totaling over 300 million dollars, Algeria Press Service (APS) reported.

Madar Holding Company signed a $180 million contract with a Libyan firm to export refined sugar. Meanwhile, the Souakri Group inked a one-year agreement with a Libyan partner to supply cement via land and sea, valued at $51 million.

The Condor Group signed six agreements with a total annual value of $80 million with companies from Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and Mauritania.

The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of a workshop held under the theme “Empowering African Contractors: Accelerating Infrastructure Development in Africa,” organized by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank).

At the opening of the workshop, Algerian Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, emphasized that the fair represents an opportunity “to strengthen continental economic cooperation and to realize shared ambitions for prosperous development.”

He added that infrastructure is the cornerstone of any economic revival, underscoring the vital role of the construction, transport, energy, and public works sectors in supporting investment and trade. He also highlighted Algeria’s efforts to build a strong logistical foundation and promote public-private partnerships in support of African integration.
