Malaysia Calls for Suspension of Zionist Entity’s UN Membership

Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hassan called on the international community Thursday to suspend the Zionist entity’s membership in the United Nations and impose sanctions in response to its genocidal actions in the Gaza Strip.

“It is time for Israel’s membership in the UN to be suspended and for all countries to impose sanctions,” said Mohamad. “I raised this at last year’s UN General Assembly and will repeat the call to suspend or expel Israel from the international community,” the minister was quoted as saying by the Bernama news agency.

According to Minister Hassan, he plans to publicly renew his appeal during the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly in September.

Hassan emphasized that sanctions should include restrictions on “arms used to kill Palestinians.” He reminded listeners that international documents deem it unacceptable for the Zionist entity to maintain control over Gaza.

The minister characterized such actions as a “form of modern-day colonialism,” urging the international community to “no longer turn a blind eye” to the actions of the Zionist regime.
