Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received on Wednesday at the ministry’s headquarters the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, the ministry said in a statement.
The two ministers discussed and coordinated on the latest diplomatic developments regarding the question of Western Sahara, particularly in light of the recent report issued by the United Nations Secretary-General, which is currently under consideration before the General Assembly.
On this occasion, both sides reaffirmed their support for the efforts of the UN Secretary-General and his Personal Envoy aimed at enabling the Sahrawi people to exercise their inalienable and imprescriptible right to self-determination, as consistently upheld by international legality, the statement added.
