11 Gazans Die of Starvation, Including Children, Death Toll Climbs to 300

Medical sources in the Gaza Strip confirmed Monday that 11 Palestinians, among them two children, died of famine and malnutrition in hospitals across the besieged enclave during the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of victims of hunger to 300, including 117 children.

The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza continues to escalate under the suffocating Zionist blockade, which has created acute shortages of food and medical supplies. The famine crisis is directly linked to the genocidal war waged against the Strip since October 7, 2023. Since March 2, 2025, the occupation forces have closed all crossings, blocking the entry of essential aid and triggering a deadly outbreak of famine.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has sounded the alarm, warning that malnutrition among children under the age of five doubled between March and June. The World Health Organization (WHO) also confirmed that famine levels in Gaza are catastrophic, stressing that nearly one in five children under five in Gaza City suffers from severe malnutrition, while countless lives continue to be lost due to the deliberate blockade and systematic obstruction of aid deliveries.
