Reuters/Ipsos Poll: Majority of Americans Support UN Recognition of Palestine

A new Reuters/Ipsos poll has revealed that 58% of Americans support the idea that all United Nations member states should recognize Palestine as an independent nation. In contrast, 33% opposed the move, while 9% did not provide an answer.

The poll, conducted over six days and concluded on Monday, came shortly after Canada, the United Kingdom, and France announced their intent to formally recognize the State of Palestine. It also showed that 65% of Americans believe the United States should take action in Gaza to assist civilians facing starvation, compared to 28% who disagreed.
