Starvation Claim Four More Lives in Gaza as Famine Deepens Amid Ongoing Genocide

GAZA – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that four more Palestinians died in the past 24 hours due to starvation and malnutrition, bringing the total number of famine-related deaths to 197. Among the victims are 96 children, highlighting the devastating toll on the most vulnerable.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to deepen, exacerbated by a strict blockade and critical shortages of food and medical supplies. The famine is a direct consequence of the genocidal war waged by the Zionist entity since October 7, 2023, which has devastated the enclave’s infrastructure and civilian population.
Since March 2, 2025, Zionist occupying authorities have completely sealed off all crossings into the Gaza Strip, halting the entry of essential aid. This total closure has accelerated the spread of famine and further deteriorated living conditions across the territory.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has sounded the alarm, reporting that malnutrition among children under five doubled between March and June due to the blockade. The World Health Organization (WHO) has likewise confirmed that malnutrition in Gaza has reached emergency levels, with nearly one in five children under five in Gaza City suffering from acute malnutrition.
Since the beginning of the war, the Zionist entity has been accused of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip through mass killings, starvation, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and forced displacement—acts carried out in defiance of international pressure and binding orders from the International Court of Justice to halt the offensive.
The genocide has so far resulted in over 209,000 people killed or wounded, the majority of whom are children and women. Over 11,000 people remain missing, and famine continues to claim more lives each day.
