Putin and Trump Set to Meet Next Week – Putin’s Aide Ushakov

MOSCOW – Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov confirmed that an agreement has been reached to organize a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump in the coming days. While the exact location remains undisclosed, Ushakov stated that the venue would be announced soon. The tentative timeframe for the high-level talks has been set for next week.

The Kremlin noted that while preparations are underway, the precise number of days needed to finalize arrangements remains uncertain. “It is difficult to say exactly how many days of preparation the talks will require,” the Kremlin added, emphasizing the complexity of organizing such a meeting given current global tensions and logistics.

Ushakov also addressed recent suggestions by Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff, who proposed a potential trilateral summit involving Putin, Trump, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. However, the Kremlin aide declined to comment on that idea, suggesting that Moscow is currently focused solely on the bilateral meeting between Putin and Trump.
