Moroccan Protesters Denounce Government’s Complicity with Zionist Entity

TANGER – Thousands of pro-Palestine protesters staged a mass sit-in at Tanger Med, Morocco’s largest industrial port, to condemn the government’s complicity in Zionist war on Gaza. The demonstrators specifically protested the docking of ships carrying Zionist weapons, accusing authorities of enabling the Zionist entity’s continued aggression on Palestinians.
According to reports by Al Aqsa TV, the protesters pointed that by allowing such vessels to enter Moroccan ports, the government was effectively assisting the Zionist entity in its aggression on Gaza. The sit-in followed a series of rallies in recent weeks, during which demonstrators voiced growing outrage over Rabat’s normalization of ties with the Zionist entity and its perceived role in the Gaza war.
In a further act of dissent, eight port employees at Tanger Med resigned in protest against what they viewed as the government’s unacceptable stance. Despite mounting public anger, Moroccan authorities have remained silent, neither confirming nor denying the claims of involvement.
Since the outbreak of the Zionist aggression on Gaza in October 2023, Moroccans across cities like Tangier and Casablanca have repeatedly taken to the streets, denouncing both the Zionist offensive and their own government’s collaboration.
