Saudi Public Security Director on Visit to Algerian Security Directorate

ALGIERS – The Saudi Director of Public Security, Lieutenant-General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Bassami and the accompanying delegation conducted on Tuesday a visit to the headquarters of the Algerian Security Directorate, in Pins Maritimes in Mohammadia (Algiers), as part of strengthening cooperation relations and security partnership between the two countries.
Upon his arrival, Lieutenant-General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Bassami was welcomed by the Inspector General of Services, General Controller of Police, Hadj Saïd Arezki, representing the Director General of the National Police.
The visit began with the screening of a video presentation on the structure and missions of the Public Security Directorate as well as its territorial deployment at local and regional levels. The projected presentation also provided an overview of the control room, within the framework of the digitization and modernization process that the security services are undergoing.
The presentation also shed light on the various cutting-edge technologies used by the General Directorate of the National Police, notably the surveillance cameras installed on the road network and the electronic payment system for fixed fines, aimed at reducing difficulties for citizens.
Another detailed presentation was given on the management of security interventions through the digital control room.
Following the presentation, the Saudi delegation took a guided tour of an exhibition dedicated to the activities of the Public Security Directorate, focusing particularly on road safety, the National DogTraining Center, coming under the National Police, as well as the various missions assigned to it.
