Polisario Front Condemns Moroccan Conspiracies Against Legal Status of Sahrawi Cause

SHAHEED EL HAFED – The National Secretariat of the Polisario Front has strongly condemned the Moroccan conspiracies aimed at undermining the legal status of the Sahrawi cause.

In a statement issued at the conclusion of its seventh ordinary session, chaired by Polisario Secretary-General and President Brahim Ghali, the Secretariat accused Morocco of orchestrating campaigns to delegitimize the Sahrawi people’s decades-long liberation struggle.

The statement denounced Moroccan efforts to distort the image of the Polisario Front—recognized as the sole legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people—and to tarnish the just nature of their cause through bribes, paid lobbying, and manipulation of international opinion. It emphasized that these attempts are in direct defiance of rulings by international and regional courts that do not recognize Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara.

The National Secretariat also extended gratitude to global solidarity movements and reaffirmed the Sahrawi people’s deep appreciation for Algeria’s unwavering support, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Additionally, it praised the strong bilateral and continental cooperation with Mauritania, highlighting the deep fraternal ties between the two nations.
