Trump Congratulates President Tebboune on Algeria’s Independence Anniversary

U.S. President Donald Trump sent a congratulatory message to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of Algeria’s National Independence Day, marked on July 5th. In his letter, Trump conveyed “warmest wishes on behalf of the United States,” praising the depth of partnership between the two countries.

“On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of your national independence, celebrated on July 5,” Trump wrote. “As Algeria and the United States mark our independence on the same day, we are reminded of the enduring partnership between our nations.”

The U.S. President also highlighted joint efforts between Washington and Algiers in addressing regional and global challenges. “Together, we have made significant progress toward regional stability, effective counterterrorism cooperation, and strengthened border security—all contributing to our shared security and economic relations,” he stated.

Trump emphasized that U.S.-Algerian cooperation has reached “a new phase aimed at creating a more secure and prosperous future for both our peoples,” and expressed optimism about deepening ties, particularly in trade and cultural exchange.

“We aspire to see our relationship continue to flourish—especially in trade and cultural exchanges—as we chart a brighter future for our nations,” he concluded.
