OSCE- PA: Algeria Reaffirms Unwavering Commitment to Liberation Causes

ALGIERS – The 32nd annual session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE- PA), proceeded Tuesday, in Porto (Portugal), with the participation of a delegation from the Algerian People’s National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament), which reiterated Algeria’s attachment to its unwavering principles in favor of liberation and self-determination causes, the lower house said in a press release.

During the third day of this session, the Algerian delegation followed with great interest the interventions of deputies and the positions of participating delegations concerning several delicate questions, notably the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, said the press release.

The delegation took note of the concerns expressed assiduously about the repeated violations of human rights and the absence of a real perspective for the establishment of a just and global peace in the Middle East region, saluting the parliamentary space offered by the OSCE for multilateral dialogue.

In this respect, the delegation reiterated Algeria’s attachment to its unwavering principles in favor of liberation and self-determination causes, at the head of which the Palestinian cause, being a “central question requiring a just settlement as part of international legality and international humanitarian law.”
