Iran Suspends Cooperation with IAEA Following Resolution

TEHRAN — Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian has announced the suspension of the Islamic Republic’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), according to a report by the MEHR news agency.

The move follows the Iranian parliament’s approval of a bill that halts collaboration with the IAEA in response to what lawmakers described as a “politically motivated” resolution against Iran. The new legislation bars IAEA inspectors from entering the country unless firm guarantees are provided regarding the security of Iran’s nuclear facilities and its peaceful nuclear activities.

This marks a significant escalation in tensions between Iran and the UN nuclear watchdog, at a time of heightened regional instability.
