Ghana Hails President Tebboune’s Leadership in Promoting African Unity

ALGIERS — The ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Algeria, Yaw Sidney Bimpong, applauded Wednesday, in Algiers, the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in promoting African unity.

In a statement to the press upon leaving the audience that the President of the Republic granted him, Bimpong, who was paying him a farewell visit at the end of his mission in Algeria, said he congratulated the President of the Republic on “his enlightened vision for Africa and his leadership in promoting African unity” through his efforts in favor of peaceful solutions and dialogue as well as the economic support provided to all African countries.

He added that he had expressed his deep gratitude to the President of the Republic for the hospitality that Algeria and its people had shown him throughout his stay, noting that the two countries maintain “good relations” rooted in history and marked by “a common commitment” during the liberation struggles and exemplary cooperation within the African movement.

Bimpong concluded his statement by affirming that he was leaving Algeria with “cherished memories,” expressing the wish to visit it again in the future.

The audience took place in the presence of the Chief of Staff at the Presidency of the Republic, Boualem Boualem, and the advisor to the President of the Republic, in charge of Diplomatic Affairs, Amar Abba.
