Algerian FM Holds, in Istanbul, Talks with Syrian Counterpart
ALGIERS – Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held on Sunday, in Istanbul, a bilateral meeting with Syria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Assaad Al-Shaibani, on the sidelines of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC), the ministry said in a statement.
The meeting was “an opportunity to review current situation in the Middle East with all the threats and dangers it represents, as well as to examine avenues to continue implementing Algeria’s commitments in terms of backing and accompanying Syrian in this delicate stage of its history, whether through Algeria’s role within the UN Security Council or by strengthing the bilateral cooperation in vital and priority fields for the Syrian side,” said .the source
