Ceasefire as an Urgent Priority in the Middle East, Says Chinese President

Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized on Thursday that establishing a ceasefire must be an urgent priority in the Middle East, where ongoing aggression from the Zionist entity against Iran persists. He underscored that communication and dialogue are “the appropriate means” to achieve lasting peace.
During a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Xi stated that the parties involved in the conflict, particularly the Zionist entity, “should halt their military operations to prevent further escalation and firmly avert the spread of war beyond the region.”
He warned that “if the conflict continues to intensify, not only will those directly involved suffer greater losses, but countries throughout the region will also face severe repercussions.” He urged all conflicting parties to “strictly adhere to international law, avoid harming innocent civilians, and facilitate the safe evacuation of nationals from third countries.”
“Dialogue and negotiation are fundamental solutions,” declared Xi Jinping, adding that “communication and dialogue are essential for achieving lasting peace.” He indicated that “international peace efforts are critical, as there can be no global peace without stability in the Middle East.”
The Chinese president asserted that his country “is prepared to continue strengthening communication and coordination with all parties, uniting efforts to uphold justice, and playing a constructive role in restoring peace in the Middle East.”
