This meeting, which is part of the official visit of the two ministers to Slovenia, provided an opportunity to “deepen the dialogue between the two countries on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of health and social security, particularly regarding the exchange of expertise in hospital management, digitization of health systems, and training of human resources, as well as the possibility of establishing partnerships between hospital institutions and medical research centers of both countries,” according to the press release.

Both parties expressed their “shared will to strengthen and develop health cooperation in the service of mutual interests,” emphasizing “the importance of adopting mechanisms to monitor the implementation of proposed projects on the ground.”

The meeting wrapped up with an emphasis on the need to “continue coordination between the relevant ministries through joint working groups, with the possibility of organizing visits in the future for specialized working groups and establishing a common roadmap including bilateral projects.”

The two ministers also held a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor, Family, Social Affairs, and Equal Opportunities of Slovenia, Luka Mesec, dedicated to “examining opportunities for cooperation in the fields of labor, vocational training in the health sector, and social security.”
