Nigeria floods : President Tebboune Extends Condolences to Nigerian Counterpart

ALGIERS- The Algerian president, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has sent a message of condolence to the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, following the floods that affected some parts of the country, leaving dozens of victims and several injured, and causing extensive material damage.

“Your Excellency and dear brother, it was with great sadness and profound grief that I learned of the terrible news of the disaster that occurred in our sister country (Nigeria), following the floods that hit the centre of the State of Niger, leaving dozens of victims and many injured while causing extensive material damage,” the condolence message said.

“In this painful ordeal, I extend to you and, through you, to the government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as to the families of the victims, on behalf of the Algerian people and government and in my personal name, my sincere condolences and deepest feelings of solidarity and compassion, praying to Almighty God to grant the victims His holy mercy and give the injured a speedy recovery.”
