U.S. Envoy: Russia’s NATO Concerns Are ‘Legitimate’

The U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, acknowledged that Russia’s concerns over NATO expansion are “legitimate.”

In a striking statement, Kellogg dismissed the idea of Ukraine joining the alliance, saying: “Ukraine’s accession to NATO is not on the table.”

“This is a security issue for them,” he added, referring to Moscow’s position.

The remark comes nearly three years into NATO’s proxy war in Ukraine, signaling a rare moment of acknowledgment from Washington that Russia may have a valid perspective.
