
NOUAKCHOTT- More than 40 memorandums of understanding covering several sectors were signed on Wednesday, in Nouakchott (Mauritania), between Algerian and Mauritanian economic operators, with a view to strengthening the presence of Algerian products on the Mauritanian market.
The signing ceremony of the agreements took place on the sidelines of the 7th Fair of Algerian products in Nouakchott, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion (May 22-28), in the presence of the Ambassador of Algeria to Mauritania, Amine Sid, and representatives of the Mauritanian ministries of Commerce and Foreign Affairs.
The memorandums of understanding concern 43 Algerian public and private companies whose products will be exported to the Mauritanian market and commercialized in that country.
Cooperation agreements have also been signed between Algerian and Mauritanian organizations and institutions specialized in the fields of trade, export and development.
These memorandums cover the export of food products, cosmetic products, detergents, plastic products, Para pharmaceutical products, medical devices, construction materials and dates.
They also cover the export and distribution of tiles, school supplies, industrial machinery, doors, textiles and leather, bedding, razor blades, electrical appliances, insecticides, electrical equipment and IT services.
