New Sahrawi Ambassador Praises Algeria’s Unwavering Support for Western Sahara

ALGIERS – The ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Khatri Addouh Khatri, expressed on Tuesday, in Algiers, the recognition and gratitude of the Sahrawi people towards Algeria for its “strong and constant” position in support of the Sahrawis in their struggle for their just cause.
In a declaration to the press, after having presented his letters of credentials to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in his capacity as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Khatri Addouh Khatri, underscored having “transmitted to the President of the Republic the greetings of his brother the Sahrawi president, Brahim Ghali, as well as the thanks of the fighting Sahrawi people to Algeria, the people, government and the vital forces, for the strong, immutable and constant position towards the struggle of the Sahrawi people and their just cause.”
He also assured that he will work tirelessly to “strengthen the relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples,” highlighting the depth of these relations based on “common history, and Arab-Muslim and African identity, as well as the ties woven between the two peoples through long periods.”
The ambassador underscored that the relations between Algeria and his country rest on “the common struggle against colonialism, injustice and exploitation,” as well as on “the constancy of Algeria’s positions in its support for all just causes and all peoples in struggle, including the Sahrawi people who remain united and resolved to defend their legitimate and inalienable right to self-determination and independence, and to consolidate the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic as an irreversible reality regionally, continently and internationally.
