Record Prize Money Announced for FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025

Total prize pool amounts to more than USD36.5 million, setting a new benchmark for regional competitions

The local organizing committee for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 has revealed that the tournament’s prize pool will surpass $36.5 million, positioning this event among the premier international football competitions.

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Qatar’s Minister of Sports and Youth and president of the organizing committee, stated in a press release that this announcement reinforces the significance of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 within the global sporting calendar.

He remarked, “This unprecedented prize pool for such a highly anticipated tournament highlights our dedication to promoting football and the positive values it embodies. These values foster unity and belonging while offering promising opportunities for individual and community advancement. We are thrilled to host the Arab Cup 2025, which not only provides a platform to celebrate Arab football but also serves as a symbol of solidarity among the peoples of the region and inspires young talents.”

Doha will also host the final draw ceremony for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 on Sunday. The tournament is scheduled to take place from December 1 to 18, 2025, with the final coinciding with Qatar’s National Day.

The 2025 edition is anticipated to draw significant interest from fans across the Arab world, uniting them to celebrate their culture and passion for football, following the successful inaugural Arab Cup held in 2021, where Algeria triumphed over Tunisia with a score of 2-0 after extra time.
