Algeria FM Engages in Discussions with His Ukrainian Counterpart in Brussels

The Algerian Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on Tuesday in Brussels, ahead of the 3rd European Union – African Union Ministerial Meeting, as stated by the ministry.

The discussions centered on “the various aspects of friendship and cooperation between Algeria and Ukraine, as well as strategies to further enhance these relations,” the statement indicated.

This meeting also served as an opportunity to “review efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the Russo-Ukrainian war, particularly the outcomes of recent negotiations held in Istanbul between the conflicting parties, and the potential for leveraging these discussions to end the conflict and establish a just, lasting, and conclusive peace between the two nations,” the source concluded.
