Saudi Arabia: Al-Ittihad Secures 10th Title with Two Matches to Spare

Al-Ittihad clinched their 10th Saudi Pro League (SPL) title, also known as the Roshn Saudi League (RSL), on Thursday after a decisive 3-1 victory against Al-Raed in the 32nd round of matches.
With two games remaining, Karim Benzema’s team has amassed 77 points, maintaining a nine-point lead over second-placed Al-Hilal, who are set to play on Friday and cannot surpass Al-Ittihad in the standings.
Al-Hilal remains the most decorated club in the league, boasting 19 national titles.
The Jeddah-based club, missing their injured French striker, conceded an early goal in the 9th minute from Oumar Gonzalez. However, they quickly regrouped, with goals from Steven Bergwijn in the 21st minute, former PSG player Danilo Pereira in the 40th minute, and Abdulrahmane Al-Oboud in the 47th minute.
As the season nears its conclusion, Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo leads the scoring chart with 23 goals, closely followed by Benzema with 21. Meanwhile, Diaby stands out as the top assister, contributing 14 assists.
