ALGIERS — Sonatrach Group CEO Rachid Hachichi received on Monday in Algiers a delegation from the Spanish company Naturgy, led by its CEO Francisco Reynés, according to a statement from the group.
The two parties examined ways to strengthen cooperation in natural gas marketing, the same source noted
The meeting, held at Sonatrach’s headquarters, in the presence of senior executives from both parties, provided an opportunity to “examine ways to strengthen cooperation between Sonatrach and Naturgy in gas marketing,” the same source said.
During the discussions, the parties also “exchanged perspectives on global hydrocarbon market trends in the context of ongoing changes in the international energy landscape.”
On this occasion, Reynés said that “his company is proud of the historical and privileged relations it maintains with the Sonatrach Group.”
He further affirmed that “Naturgy is willing to strengthen and expand cooperation with the Algerian partner by developing new projects in the oil and gas industry and renewable energy sectors that serve the mutual interests of both parties,” according to the same source.
